Treated cases
These are intraoral photographs from Dr. Pacha's own MARPE cases, showing the palatal arch before treatment and after miniscrew-assisted expansion.

MARPE expansion — before and after
What these images show
Each pair shows the upper arch viewed from below, before and after expansion. What is visible is the change in arch width and the relationship of the posterior teeth. What is not visible — and what actually determined whether the treatment was appropriate — is the CBCT assessment of the mid-palatal suture that preceded it.
Photographs are also not the whole result. Skeletal expansion creates a platform; the alignment and finishing that follow are a separate phase, and retention continues indefinitely afterwards.
Frequently asked questions
Will my result look like these?
There is no way to answer that from a photograph. Outcome depends on your suture anatomy, bone quality, the amount of expansion needed and how your tissues respond. What can be discussed after an assessment is what is realistic for you specifically.
Are these patients of Dr. Pacha?
Yes. These are intraoral photographs from cases treated by Dr. Pacha, used with consent and anonymised.
